Our mission at Ternus Adult Living Supports is to provide an environment that encourages growth in all individuals. We will encourage each person to be as independent as possible while providing learning opportunities to promote and encourage individuals to excel even further.
Getting Out There:
One of our main focuses at Ternus Adult Living Supports is getting consumers out and into the community. We strive to teach everyday life skills that our consumers will need one day such as employment training, travel training, and learning safety skills.
At Ternus Adult Living Supports, consumers are encouraged to participate in employment training in order to gain work experience and develop the necessary skills for future employment. We achieve this through the utilization of volunteer opportunities in the community such as thrift stores, animal rescues, and assisting small, local businesses.
Each consumer is paired with a Behavior Technician to work on their individualized plans that are designed to help them with everyday life. Some examples of current goals include, but are not limited to money management, community safety, resume writing, employment training, and travel training.
At Ternus Adult Living Supports we partner with local businesses and non-profits organizations to offer different kinds of vocational training in work setting out in the community, allowing consumers with little or no work experience to gain work experience and help develop a verity of skills.
