We offer services that fit every individual's goal
Our mission at Ternus Adult Living Supports is to provide an environment that encourages growth in all individuals. We will encourage each person to be as independent as possible while providing learning opportunities to promote and encourage individuals to excel even further. Ternus Adult Living Supports will provide an environment that supports success through the commitment to diversity and caring and respect for all individuals. Partnerships with local businesses and non-profits will allow individuals the opportunity to participate in meaningful activities. Through this, our program will achieve its goal of providing an environment that fosters growth in all.
Ternus Adult Living Supports believes all consumers have a place in society. With encouragement and training, all can live, work, and participate in the community they call home. It is our purpose at Ternus Adult Living Supports to enhance the lives of the individuals in our program. This can be achieved through three basic principles: Fun, Dignity, and Autonomy. Through this, we can fulfill our promise to ensure all individuals find their place in society.
Meet Our Team
Tyler Ternus, Founder and Director
Ternus Adult Living Supports founder and director, Tyler Ternus, has been a vendor with North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) for over 19 years. He began working with individuals with developmental disabilities in 2002 at his grandmother’s group home. This sparked a lifelong passion to advocate and assist individuals with disabilities. In 2005, Tyler opened a children’s home. Then, in 2016, he opened adult residential facilities in the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster. Throughout his time as a vendor, a program that offered community integration with BCBA support was not available. He had heard too many people saying that individuals with disabilities “could not participate” or “were not capable.” Tyler created Ternus Adult Living Supports to offer behavioral and vocational training in order to provide all consumers with the opportunity to achieve a meaningful life. He is passionate about ensuring that all of our consumers are working towards that meaningful life by learning all of the skills necessary to improve their quality of life and assisting all consumers in advocating for their wants and needs. Tyler also currently serves as the president of TALS – CIE, a non-profit organization that works towards helping individuals with disabilities find competitive integrated employment.

With over 10 years of experience in the field, Michelle has been providing behavioral services to children and adults with special needs through direct service and consultation. Michelle strives to help our consumers at TALS by creating individualized treatment plans, providing thorough training of all staff, and improving the quality of life for the individuals she serves.
