Consumers are assigned to a 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 staff to consumer ratio. All staff at Ternus Adult Living Supports are required to complete a 40-hour training that outlines applied behavior analysis service delivery, data collection, assisting with behavior assessments, behavior change interventions, service delivery documentation and reporting, as well as ethics and professionalism.
Staff at Ternus Adult Living Supports receive direct training by the BCBA for their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Following their certification, they receive regular supervision by the BCBA. The BCBA observes each consumer and completes an individualized assessment based on information provided via interviews with staff/parent/guardians, direct observations, skill probes, and review of records.
The RBTs work with their assigned consumer on the goals identified in the consumer’s treatment plan including behavior reduction and interventions as well as skill acquisition such as identifying money, making purchases, working on resumes, budgeting, and employment training.
